Our Vision:
The Dargo Bush Nursing Centre strives to provide a skilled and proficient nursing service, encompassing a wide range of health and welfare issues relevant to the community of Dargo and surrounding districts, and to encourage optimum health and maximize independence of all community members.
The Centre is aimed at providing:
- direct care
- community development
- health promotion and illness prevention.
The Centre emphasizes a preventative approach to health care that empowers people to take control and plan for their own health needs.

Welcome
The Dargo Bush Nursing Centre was established in 1912. When the service originally started, it was operated from various places in Dargo. A room at the Hotel was made available for the nurse for many years. Later the nurse worked from her own home.
For many years, the community of Dargo raised funds from rodeos, Balls, raffles and Sports Days to build our Centre. The service is now operating from this Centre built in 1982, and upgraded in 2003 to suit the evolving needs of the community.
The Centre is governed by a local Committee of Management, all volunteers, who strive to ensure that, within the resources available, our community’s health care needs are met.
