The Centre
The Buchan Bush Nursing Centre is situated in the heart of town, close to the General Store and Post Office and has served the town and surrounding community since 1911.
The Centre is run as a non-profit organisation and is managed by a Committee of volunteers in accordance with guidelines set by the Department of Human Services.
The duty Nurse works on her own, dealing with a wide variety of nursing and non-nursing matters, urgent & non-urgent. Most duties are carried out at the Centre.
The nurses liaise with other health professionals on an ‘as needs’ basis to ensure a continuum of care.
Trauma victims are usually dealt with at the scene of the accident.
The staff and committee are happy to hear your ideas for providing or enhancing our services.
